Description
In Crkvena Street in Kutina, as part of the "Moslavina Porches", there is an observatory managed by the astronomical society "Ivan Štefek". It is intended for observing the dark sky and outer space as well as astronomical phenomena such as lunar eclipses. In addition to observing the stars, from the members of the astronomical society, you will also learn some terms used in astronomy such as "astrognosy" which stars constellations are there and what is the Milky Way etc.
The society is named after the famous Kutina teacher of mathematics and physics Ivan Štefek, who is the founder of astronomy in Kutina. For many years, Kutina astronomers have achieved excellent results in various competitions, and the Astronomical Society was founded in 1995.
