Description

The educational trail of the Marča forest is located on the western slopes of Moslavačka gora near the village of Šumećani, starting from the road next to the Kezele Rural Tourism.

The trail is circular, 3,000 meters long, slightly hilly, easy to walk for all ages, can be crossed in about 30 minutes of normal walking, passes through the forest of Marča. Surrounded by trees with beautiful views of the gorges, along the way are placed 20 large plaques depicting the flora and fauna that inhabit the forest. Each panel presents one representative of the plant world: oak, beech, poplar, cherry, alder, acacia, maple, ivy, fern, mushrooms, flowers and is accompanied by a story about animals such as deer, wild boar, rabbit, fox, frog, pheasant, woodpecker, insects, reptiles, etc.

On the trail there is an interesting lake Sudarice into which forest waters flow from two directions throughout the year and fill the lake. Excess water overflows and creates the Liplenica stream, about 10 km long, which ends in the river Cesma. The trail has 4 rest areas, of which it is best to sit on benches by the swamp and Lake Sudarice where the lake is crossed by 4 bridges, and you can see the habitat of beavers and swans, wild ducks, fish, turtles, frogs, etc.
