Blatnica fishponds are located in Bjelovar-Bilogora County along the river Česma between the fishponds Narta and Sisčani and belong to the municipality of Štefanje, settlement Blatnica. Today, these are important habitats for wetland birds, and out of about 400 bird species in the Republic of Croatia, at the Sisćani and Blatnica fishponds, the Croatian Society for the Protection of Birds and Nature has recorded as many as 101 bird species.

The length of the trail, which is circular in shape, is 2.9 km, or about 1 hour of walking, and is named after the round-leaved blue or mini water lily, also called water lily, from whose flowers, ponds turn yellow in summer.
