Gareški Cultural Center - Costume Sewing

The Gareški Cultural Center (GKC) was founded on September 23, 2004. The association was founded by the Martinić family with several other enthusiasts with the aim of preserving the traditional heritage of Moslavina, Bilogora and the whole of Croatia. The idea of ​​founding came from the fact that in the town of Garešnica at that time there was no serious institution where they could turn and obtain possible folklore, ie traditional material, so they decided to start an association that will be a base in which to archive research traditional material, in order to derive a number of quality projects for the benefit and presentation of the city of Garešnica, Bjelovar-Bilogora County and the Republic of Croatia under the motto: We do not want to deal, but truly work and respect the national heritage.

During the 15 years of their existence, it can be said that they have succeeded in that, because with their dedicated work they maintain and cover all activities that they have registered:

- promoting cultural and traditional creativity in schools, cultural associations and associations of national minorities, seminars and folklore schools;

- preservation of traditional heritage in the field of dance and music;

- organizing meetings of similar associations, especially those that present themselves exclusively with traditional singing and dancing accompanied by traditional instruments, organizing seminars, leading folklore and singing groups, tamburitza orchestras and traditional musical instruments, and working on other jobs, in the interest of its members of traditional heritage.
